- Them: why did you get a septum?
- Me: because I love being asked questions
Learned how to do pole sits today. Definitely gives new meaning to the term “snatch”.
So I have had my septum in my nose for all of one day and it’s crazy how people have reacted. While I get a lot of positive, I have my step father, my grandmother, and my coworkers giving opinions on my face. Even complete strangers have felt their opinions on what I do with my nose is important enough to voice to me. Anywhere from “that doesn’t look good” to “I would kill my daughter if she did something like that.”
I had spoken to my manager before going to get it asking if a nose piercing would be ok. She had said she didn’t care, but I am sure she had thought I would only get a stud. She was definitely not pleased with it. It’s amazing, it’s still a nose piercing, but this one is “not okay”. But even for the time I had it in, before she made me flip it up into my nose, I still did my job, I still sold my bride a $1,000 wedding gown. I am still the same girl I was Sunday and every day before that.
I have people thinking I am doing it for attention, I have people wanting me to take it out. I didn’t receive this much crap for any of my other piercings or any of my tattoos .
But I am in love with it, my face feels complete with it. I can’t wait until it heals.
